If we are coming to your facility to film video or stills,
following are a few suggestions to ensure your final images will be as
best they can be.
In an ideal world, it would be great to already have your subject
matter (e.g. Boat) as close to
a location that you think will do it justice.
For Example: Lots of sun, pretty
spot / cliffs
Don't under estimate the location!
It would also be advantageous to bring along a few faces
that can be set up as talent. (AIM for your target market age group
preferably) Try and brief them to bring along a couple of changes in
outfits and a lot of patience.
Having props will also help to fill the shots also.
For Example: A Gourmet
BBQ, a nice table setting with food, some wine, kayaks, Deck Chairs,
Fishing Rods, etc.
Please remember that props are for filming (& not eating)
Bring separate food if you promised your talent a feed.
If we are going to do specific activities, it is extremely important to
ensure the topic is credible.
For example: If we are filming a ski boat -
have a competent skier, or at least a family that look like their
learning (on purpose). Ensure the props are modern.
If we are doing swimming shots, ensure your talent looks like they
should be wearing swimming gear!
If we are filming something that has safety rules - adhere to them.
PFD's for observers in boats etc.
If you have windows
- CLEAN THEM
Obviously the destination is as important as the
subject (Boat) (and in some
cases more important) so the better the spot the better the shot!
If there is anything you want to discuss, please let us know, failing
that, we look forward to seeing you on the day.
Kind Regards
