| Spangled Perch???? The spangled perch is very widely spread throughout most of Northern
Australia and tolerates a wide range of water conditions. It is a pleasant silvery grey
with brownish spots over the body. Has been recorded up to 35cm but usually found at half
this size. Will eat aquarium fish food but prefers a carnivorous diet. Larger specimens
should only be mixed with large, tough species as the spangled perch is territorial, and
fairly aggressive. Roots, rocks or logs should be provided as hiding places.
