| Centropyge fisheri Although having only two colours, deep purple and fiery orange, this small
fish, adult at 2 to 2½ in (5 to 6 cm), is the cherished ward of many competent aquarists
who maintain only a 20 to 30 gallon (90 to 135 litre) tank. It is a shy and secretive
little creature, even after it has learnt to associate its owner with food and security. A
properly furnished aquarium for this species will take this fact into account and adequate
provision for caves, rocky shelters and spatial coral intricacies should be made. This
species may be restricted in range to the coral reefs of East Africa.
